Given that my group was supposed to take pictures around campus, it was a little more difficult trying to find something that interested me to take pictures of. School was crowded today because the different circles were trying to recruit members, but human photography doesn't really appeal to me when it is outside of commemorative/touristy purposes. Or maybe it's because all of the pictures that I am most pleased with don't have people as the focus, so I think that people photography isn't my forte. Coming back to the venue constraint, it meant that there was a need to really focus on little details to try to find something to shoot. I was pretty worried that I wouldn't find anything that interests me and hence have crappy pictures to show others. In that hour I took less than 20 pictures, which was peanuts compared to the majority of my group members, most of whom took loads of pictures with their big, professional looking cameras unlike my own small, compact one. Nonetheless, I am quite pleased with my attempts. :)

Even walking the same route, most of us took very different pictures, which is probably due to different interests and perspectives. Hence it was intriguing looking at the different pictures everyone took, and goodness, I really liked some of the pictures; they were amazing to me. Considering that I know next to nothing about photography, I simply shoot by feel. My pictures were rather well-received, so yay to the girl with the small, non-pro-looking camera! I guess we don't need those SLR cameras to take good pictures, but my group mate let me handle his and it seemed really fascinating. It was my first time touching a camera like that, and fiddling with the knob to change the zoom was so amazing, it made me want to own one too. Maybe I will save up and sometime in the future it will be mine. Pursuing photography as an extracurricular interest sounds rather appealing. Getting up and about these two days on my own has been really fulfilling. :)
