Some days, I can be sitting in a lecture feeling very happy, hugging my joy tightly to myself. So I was counting my blessings, and appreciating the little little things that I have going for me, and life is good. For the curious, my 'date' with the cute guy went really well. Talking to international students, I realise that what I read about in books/watch on tv, are their actual experiences. I was a little envious hearing about his Christmas experiences when he was younger. They really do write letters to Santa, set their alarms in the wee hours of the morning thinking "I'm going to catch Santa!", and set out cookies and milk! The poor parents then try to fulfill the tough requests (lego seen-and-wanted from an old catalogue, which isn't in stores anymore) turn off the alarms (because the kid announces to the whole family he's going to wake up to see Santa), and take bites of the cookies and drink the milk (and the kid will wake up to see them half-eaten and gasp, "Santa really ate them!!!"). I kind of pity his parents, because they have three children, and in those years they probably ate lots of cookies and drank lots of milk during the Christmas period. It all sounds so fun, all the Santa business, and Christmas socks and presents... Well it's okay! I am going to try my best to have a White Christmas this year! And tell myself that I'm too old for Santa, and Christmas socks, and presents!

Having met many people in the almost-one-month since I've been here, I occasionally have thoughts of ... people? Say between two people, one is someone you find cute physically, but am not sure whether he/she is enjoyable to talk to; The other is someone whose appearance you're unsure of, but whom you get along with like a house on fire. And you're keen on getting to know both better. Wouldn't you wonder who would make the better friend; Who will stay, who will go? Maybe neither, maybe both, maybe it's one between the two.

Oh wait, I'm doing it again, trying to analyse and pick apart situations. Stop it, girl! >_< What will be, will be. That being said, I better get ready for lessons.
