One of our Japanese teachers has the habit of taking pictures of us in class while we make speeches, give presentations, or go for out-of-classroom lessons, and the other day she sent me some recent pictures. They made me look through my "SP3 4A class ongoings" folder, and it made me feel a bit nostalgic thinking of the numberous Japanese classes over the past nearly one year. Have we changed? Probably. Have we improved? Probably.
4 dec 07 - interview project presentation
20 dec 07 - speech
1 jul 08 -book-reading project presentation( maybe i was glaring at someone who wasn't paying attention, hahaha)Looking at the pictures, I just realised that I was wearing a black article of clothing in all of them. I must have a fondness for that colour! That aside, it was Tanabata on Monday (7/7), so our teacher brought some stalks of leaves from a bamboo shoot, and let us write our wishes and hang them on the leaves. As expected, here's a class picture:
probably one of the last..Since it is quite a pity to hang our wishes for a mere five minutes, Yoon Jeong and I each brought back a bunch of leaves, and continued letting our wishes hang in our rooms. Among the endless possibilities in the world, it is difficult to choose one or two wishes. They probably change over the years, but this is one wish that has been rather constant throughout my life:
it's been pretty well-fulfilled thus far :)After that 3-packs-of-meat-for-1000yen incident, my interest in cooking has been revived, and upon the recommendation of my friend, I tried making natto omelette. When I first heard about it, I had my doubts because it just sounds so.... dubious! Hence I was happily surprised to find out that it tasted yummy. That's probably because I like natto to begin with~
it doesn't even look that bad!AND... We all know that shops rip us off by making us pay high prices for something that doesn't cost very much to make, right? After confirming on the internet what my taste buds told me, I went out and bought myself yoghurt and milk, and made my very own lassi! YUM-MY!~ When I lay my hands on fruits and a better blender, I can make fruit-flavoured lassi, like mango lassi, or peach lassi, or strawberry lassi... *dreams*
sneak peak of my half-drunk lassi in the fridge ;pI made a list of places I want to go or things I want to do in my remaining weeks in Japan. So many unfulfilled wishes, so little time! :(
