Today, or rather yesterday, Yoon Jeong and I had a dinner date. Considering how busy she is with her job, it's rare that we actually hang out these days! After all, being perpetually busy means that one likes to spend the occasional free time lounging around and not making plans. But she had the time and mood, I was partial, so we both put on our new clothes from Nippori and, after some wandering around, settled on having sushi at Shinjuku. :) It would be a pity to come home right after dinner since we were already out, so we found something to do, namely take purikura! When I think about it, it has been quite a while since we last took one together, and... need I remind yall that purikura is so much cheaper in Japan as compared to Singapore? That's one more incentive. =p
i narrowed the height difference by wearing heels that were higher than hers =D
birdie bird~~After a spot of shopping at Uni Qlo, we came back. Since the night was still young, we indulged in a bit of drinking while watching TV. Then, because we both love to try on our buys once we return home, we combined powers and helped her to put on the yukata. After lots of yanking and head-scratching, here's our final product:
tada!Frankly, I was quite, quite pleased with the obi because it turned out nicely in my opinion, especially since we were both first-timers! Then again, that was probably the easiest way of tying the obi. We were trying the butterfly bow a couple of times but something just wasn't right and we gave up. However, it was very fun, I had quite a few laughs. :D After that, I came back to my room and fiddled around with my own yukata. My conclusion? It is easier to wear it for someone else than to wear it yourself. Even so, I managed to do everything on my own, albeit more messily. The both of us had better practise more if we want to get it right!
