It has been years since my childhood ended, and it always comes as a surprise when more details emerge that I knew nothing about. What we remember is from when we were old enough to. Whatever happened before, we know from piecing together third-party accounts and recollections. I wonder when I will have the most complete picture.
I grew up happy.
Unhappiness was trivial, when my simple wants were denied, but easily resolved. Since when did we start to consider others' feelings and put aside our own? I wish people were more careful with the way they wield their words. With the slightest misstep we callously slice people's feelings to ribbons.
