Or maybe Christmas just seems more beautiful because I dream of a white Christmas, of cozying up to a loved one on a soft rug before the fireplace in my comfortable log cabin, sipping hot chocolate and carrying on a conversation in murmurs with soft music playing in the background, while snow drifts down from the sky outside. Is it not a wonderful fantasy? :)
It's not that I'm religious that's why Christmas is particularly special to me. I think all the lightings and decor every corner I turn creates a very festive mood, and it seems more tangible, more concrete. Definitely more so than the New Year. And there's a greater air of romance to Christmas than say, Chinese New Year, although the latter floods the streets with decorations as well.
