In the heat of the moment, we tend to do one of two things: This is the time when we shoot off our mouths without a single thought passing through our minds. Things said during this time tend to have no basis for them, are total untruths, and are usually meant to lash out at someone and cause hurt intentionally. They are meant to vent frustration, and anger, and whatever comes to mind first will be hurled towards the opponent like a soldier hurls a spear. Bull's eye! This is the time when we decide to let down all the barriers and allow all the thoughts that we've kept hidden to come into the light. The angry party is coherent, and things said during this time are grounded in truths, not necessarily facts but undeniable because we feel/think them. They are released in a sudden burst of courage, of feeling the lack of necessity to keep things hidden, of feeling a wave of weariness from protecting the other party from the truth. They are focused weapons, not hurled helter skelter, but unleashed with precision. They can be a Pandora box of truth. Bare it all!
