Yesterday's good day was probably to offset the torture that was part of training Labels: cheerleading
again today. I don't mind running round the track, or holding the prep position, or doing leg lifts, or sit ups, or doing all sorts of stretching to try to increase flexibility, or liberty, or tuck jumps, or back extensions... But I don't like doing dips, and pull ups! It's probably because I've got the weakest arms ever, and those are so damn tiring and, uh, I basically suck at those. Even as we do assisted pull ups and I know that the guys are there to help us, I try as far as possible to lighten the load for the guys. As I'm struggling with all my might to get my chin over the bar, I get the strangest urge to cry. So there I am, trembling arms and all, struggling with the damn pull up bar, and feeling ridiculous because I want to cry from the sheer effort of it all. Gawd. *smacks forehead*
Surprisingly, even though we were rather tired from all the PT, our stunts actually became more stable! I didn't expect all of us to clear our three good liberties in so short a time. Biyi thinks the parallel bars are a miracle. Me? I just think that maybe our muscles work better after being pushed, and tired, limber muscles cooperate much better when stunting. Yay to stable liberties! :)
I can predict that I'm going to wake up tomorrow with an aching back and aching ass. Despite these, I shall drag my lazy ass to run up the stairs of my block tomorrow, because Spartan says that I'm not jumping hard/high enough. While I'm at it, I might as well go down to the parallel bars and work on my dips. As I was going to bathe, I wondered why the hell I'm still bothering, when I won't be active in the squad for much longer. Maybe part of it is about wanting to push myself to be better in the time I'll still be around. Another part of me simply wants a more toned body. Hahaha.
Okay. Time to look at all the goodies I bought from Mustafa yesterday and feel happier. No my body does not ache. *nods*
