In the lead up to the lunar new year, my sleeping moments have been plagued by strange dreams. Is it time to make resolutions? Western-style resolutions for the western-style new year, and resolutions inspired by traditions for the lunar new year. We would be hard pressed to keep up with all the resolutions! … Oh wait. Even the act of making resolutions is very much a western custom. The whole act of living is akin to living in a balanced manner. Balancing school and work, balancing work and relationships, balancing your spouse and your parents, balancing nature and nurture, balancing good and bad… Everyone has a tough time making choices. I think I need to power up! More energy and passion and determination and confidence and competence please.
